Modern Slavery Statement

Last updated: January 2026

DOOQ MISSION, SLAVERY STATEMENT

This statement is made pursuant to Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and sets out the steps dooq has taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking is not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of our business.

ABOUT DOOQ

dooq is a luxury fashion retailer specialising in limited edition drops and curated collections. We operate primarily online, serving customers in the United Kingdom, European Union, United States, and internationally. Our business activities include design, curation, sourcing, e-commerce retail operations, warehousing, fulfilment, and customer service.

OUR SUPPLY CHAINS

Our supply chains include manufacturers, raw material suppliers, logistics providers, and service providers. We source products from suppliers primarily located in the United Kingdom, European Union (Italy, Portugal, Spain), and Turkey. We recognise that the fashion industry can carry inherent risks of modern slavery, particularly in raw material sourcing and manufacturing. We are committed to understanding and mitigating these risks within our supply chains.

POLICIES

We have implemented the following policies to identify and prevent modern slavery:

  • Supplier Code of Conduct: All suppliers must agree to our Code of Conduct, which explicitly prohibits forced, bonded, or involuntary labour.
  • Whistleblowing Policy: We encourage all workers to report concerns about unethical practices without fear of retaliation.
  • Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy: We maintain strict standards against bribery and corruption, which can be linked to modern slavery practices.
  • Recruitment Policy: We conduct appropriate checks on all employees and use only reputable employment agencies.

DUE DILIGENCE

As part of our commitment to identifying and mitigating risk, we:

  • Conduct risk assessments of new suppliers before entering into contracts
  • Perform periodic reviews of existing suppliers
  • Reserve the right to audit suppliers' premises and records
  • Include specific modern slavery provisions in supplier contracts
  • Work to map our supply chains beyond tier-one suppliers

RISK ASSESSMENT AND MANAGEMENT

We have identified higher-risk areas including raw material sourcing (cotton, leather), manufacturing in certain regions, subcontracting by suppliers, and migrant/temporary workers. For these areas, we implement enhanced due diligence including preference for certified materials, third-party social audits, on-site visits, contractual restrictions on unauthorised subcontracting, and recruitment fee reimbursement policies.

TRAINING

All employees receive awareness training on modern slavery as part of their induction. Procurement and sourcing teams receive detailed training on identifying red flags and conducting supplier assessments. Senior management receive annual briefings on modern slavery risks and our response.

MEASURING EFFECTIVENESS

We measure our effectiveness through:

  • Percentage of suppliers who have signed our Code of Conduct
  • Number and percentage of suppliers assessed for modern slavery risk
  • Number of supplier audits conducted
  • Percentage of employees who have completed modern slavery training
  • Number of concerns raised through our whistleblowing channels

APPROVAL

This statement has been approved by the Board of Directors of dooq and will be reviewed and updated annually.
